End of Year News (December 2017)

Thu Dec 28, 2017 3:57 am by Adrian

(It's been one year since I made a news thread, oops)

Merry Christmas/Festivus/whatever holiday you do or do not celebrate!

2017 was a pretty busy year IRL for most of us - according to forum statistics, our busiest month was in June with 1671 total posts, meaning our post rate has been a little …

Forum Bug

Wed Dec 28, 2016 3:18 am by Adrian

Hi all,

We're aware of a peculiar forum glitch that's causing some subforums to be locked.

Due to the lateness at this time, it might be a while before the glitch can be remedied, because despite my best efforts and as far as I can tell, everything seems to be working fine admin-side. It may have …

Spoiler

The spoiler code is extremely useful because it allows you to hide large pieces of text or pictures, as well as keeping posts with a lot of information organized.

So here's a few helpful tricks on it.

To use it, simply write [spoiler] text [./spoiler] (without the period) or you can highlight a piece of text and clicking the Spoiler button.

title:
text

If you don't want it going all the way across your post, there is a way to make the Spoiler button smaller. Simply highlight the Spoiler text and click the Table button to put the Table code around the Spoiler code.

After doing that, it should look like this:

Title:
Text
One thing I would like to point out though, is that doing this, the width of the spoiler is determined by the largest group of text without pressing enter. Like that example above is small since there's only one word, but if you use a few more...

example 1:
text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text

text text text text text text text text text text text

text text text text text text text text text text text text  text text text text text

text text text text
example 2:
text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text

text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text t text text text text text text text text text t text text text text text text text text text text text
See?

Now, if you don't want any space between the two spoilers, make sure the new one starts on the same line the previous one ended.

I hope this guide was helpful to you. :]
