But it may put the non at a huge disadvantage bcz the magic user can keep his distance while the non is having trouble getting close to his opponent.

Well there are other skills in the RPG that can help combat that. For example, there's an agility skill that increases your speed. Leveling this up will make you harder to hit. There's plenty of others I can't think of but there's definitely ways you can fight against magic.

Not necessarily. The non user just has to understand the strengths and weaknesses of magic users. Magic and non magic users both have strengths and weaknesses.

To be honest, I don't know the extent of PvP, but there may not be that much even.

Like Adrian said, there probably won't be very much PvP in the roleplay because there can be a risk of accidentally killing that player.

Also, the spells don't follow the player (unless it said it does in the spells info) so a player can use other skills they have to dodge the spells. Like they can use Teleportation to move a few feet to the side or forward, use the sprinting skill to quickly run out of he way, or use acrobatics to jump to the side or up. So it's not like a player is completely helpless against a player with magic.

Another thing, magic will not be a main force of combat for players. It's just an extra thing so you shouldn't be continuously bombarded with spells while fighting a player.

I'm going to disagree with a few people by saying that adding some complication to an RPG may be positive. Honestly, what is a fantasy-style RPG (Even if it is just a video game) without magic?

Hero, there are some fantasy stuff WITHOUT magic. Magic isn't the very essential part of a fantasy genre. It can still be fantasy without magic. An example is SAO. It is fantasy game but without magic

Magic may not be the essential part of fantasy, but it's still a common theme.

Is that to say that PVW is to be without magic?
