Forum Bug

Hi all,

We're aware of a peculiar forum glitch that's causing some subforums to be locked.

Due to the lateness at this time, it might be a while before the glitch can be remedied, because despite my best efforts and as far as I can tell, everything seems to be working fine admin-side. It may have …

Status and Genre Tags

Post by Sentinel on Tue Mar 28, 2017 11:43 pm

Hey there! So, Tara (@NightOwl) has been toying around with a new addition to the forum: status and genre tags. These tags can be added to topic descriptions to make the description of threads more clearer.

Here's what they'd look like:

Adding 🇧🇷 (if you have initial text you want to enter), then : : around words such as :apply:, :sci-fi:, etc. in the topic description creates those fancy tags. For example, "words words words, [etc.] 🇧🇷 :apply: :sci-fi:, [:etc:]" would give you something like what's happening in the first topic in the above picture. 🇧🇷 creates a line break.

Like so. In addition, hovering the cursor over "Apply" and "Full" provides more information:

There are other status tags for different kinds of threads, but you get the idea. It's an idea we can implement onto the forum, but we need to know if you guys would be willing to use it.

So, what do you think? Smile
