Forum Bug

Hi all,

We're aware of a peculiar forum glitch that's causing some subforums to be locked.

Due to the lateness at this time, it might be a while before the glitch can be remedied, because despite my best efforts and as far as I can tell, everything seems to be working fine admin-side. It may have …

*wipes sweat from brow* Whew, political correctness is a lot of hard work. But it has to be done.

ANYWAYS, we did it - we (almost) survived 2016 which, I think we can all agree, was pretty damn terrible in many ways.

Regardless, it was a good year on the forums - we've met some new faces, set out …

- Lucille -

A boy comes out of a cab, coming to greet the black-haired girl, and then another girl steps out of yet another cab. I instinctively pull my feet up and put them on the bench and wrap my arms around my legs, as though to minimize the attention I attract from these people.

- Kendall -

I shut the door behind me, and take my first steps into the open. The group is a quiet bunch. Except for two people hugging, that is. I almost make a face of disgust, but I suppose I ought to be nice.

I come around to the trunk, where one of disguised ISO agents that escorted me hands me a basic brown suitcase. It's not mine. None of the clothes packed in there are mine, either. But no one from the ISO would let me go home and let me pack, so they packed a few things for me.

Shows how much you guys trust me, I think bitterly as I take the handle.

~Adair~

As Riada tried to find sleep with all that was going on around us I finally took a look at who we would be heading to school with.

A lot of people were getting out of taxis while a few others were piling out of limos as we had. One boy was having his stuff handed to him, another boy seemed to be curling up on a different bench, a blonde girl was texting away, and everyone else appeared normal enough except for the one with a gun strapped to her back. However even that didn't seem out of place considering where we were headed.

I turned my head just as two people embraced, smiling slightly at the reunion. Another two boys walked away from the scene who appeared to be twins. Hmm, I guess we weren't alone.

I debated going up to someone and striking up a conversation but I couldn't leave Riada alone like this. I sighed, why did he need to drink so much.

Though not connected, Fiachra and Lachtna moved closer to one another, their shoulders pressing against one another. Fiachra kept his eyes on the ground, slightly embarrassed he drew some attention to himself. Lachtna focused his attention on his surroundings - he noted some of the details of the others waiting at the platform that he could not before.

"Don't feel so bad," he whispered to his twin, "we can't draw anymore attention to ourselves than that girl with the gun does. We are in the north, after all."

Feeling a little better, Fiachra smiled before glancing behind his brother. His face titled a little, almost as if he couldn't believe what he saw. Another set of twins? Or maybe not - they dressed real different. Maybe they were a year or so apart.

If they are twins, he thought, they'll be the only other pair we've ever seen.

I watch as two people hug. Maybe they had just reunited after a long time of separation? Well, whatever the reason is, good for them! I'm glad that people are already getting along at least! I just hope that the train arrives soon, or that someone strikes up a conversation. Standing here, staring at everyone is fun and all but...I want something exciting to happen! More people seem to be arriving, and I wave to them. Even if they aren't going to Harwell's, it's the nice thing to do!

I caught the eyes of one of the other twins and raised a hand in acknowledgment, smiling politely. If they wanted to strike up a conversation I wouldn't be opposed, although I would need to wake Riada up enough to be presentable. Oh boy, he was a handful.

I concentrated for a moment before I created a link and spoke to him through it, "Riada, please wake up. We're in public, y'know.."

I could tell he was still awake by the grumbling that followed immediately after, "Ugh, fine. I'm sleeping on the train, though, you can't stop me."

With that he finally sat up although he still closed his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest it still looked better than him being sprawled over the bench.

"What are you looking at now?" Lachtna asked, his teeth grit slightly. Fiachra had already made them stand out from staring at the ponytail girl. Luckily, she was focused on a blonde boy now, so she might forget that even happened.

Fiachra lifted his hand to wave at whatever it was he was looking at. "Somebody's waving at us." he replied, smiling small.

Lachtna turned, and saw two teenaged boys sitting on a bench - one in more formal clothing and the other much less so. They looked about the same age, and almost identical. Were they twins, too? What were the odds.

The one in the casual wear looked uncomfortable, and for a second, Lachtna swore he was holding his head akin to his own actions when he had those nasty migraines. Sympathizing a little, he waved, too, though he was so busy staring at them he forgot to smile.

Sarah-

The train station wasn't hard to find, and it wasn't particularly interesting.  Much more so was the other people here.  I glance over them, trying to get an idea about who'd I be dealing with, before walking to stand away from the others, leaning on a wall.

My parents had asked me if I wanted them to come with me, but I had turned them down as fast as I could.  No reason for them to be here, what with the cost of cross-country flights these days.

Alex-

As we pull up to the train station, my father breaks his silence, "Do well, okay?" He asks me.

I nod, "I will... Thanks for giving me a ride, by the way."  I reply.  He gives a brief smile,

"Yeah, well, I had to run some things through my head.  Better I did it where I couldn't focus on other things."  He stops the car in front of the train station.  "Well... It's time."

I open the door, and step out of the car.  "Take care of yourself, Dad."  I say, standing with the door in my hand.  He nods, "You too."

I close the door, and turn to face the others.

Ethan-

I arrive at the train station, half exhausted, and immediately go and fall into a bench.  Flying halfway across the world in one day was not fun.  I look over the other people there, giving brief smiles and nods to anyone who looked my way.

Slade quickly set down his luggage and wrapped his arm around Gretchen. He smiled, but he still couldn't entirely getting over the surprise of seeing her. She was the last person on his mind at that moment, and it briefly threw him into shock.
"What are you doing here?" He inquired after he found his words, speaking in a warm and pleasantly surprised tone. "I'm so surprised, you never told me you were a super!"

~Riada~

"Come on, let's go talk to them," Adair said, pulling on my sleve a bit, "It would be rude not to."

I groaned again but complied, not in the mood to argue with him. I opened my eyes and squinted at the blinding sunlight, trying to ignore my pounding headache enough to smile at the other two twins. Dammit when was this Advil going to kick in, I looked like a loser. Adair stood up and I did the same, moving my hands into my pockets as we approached them.

"Hello, my name's Adair," my brother greeted first.

"I'm Riada," I added with a nod of my head and a polite smile as I tried not to grimace at my headache, "Couldn't help but notice how weird it was to have two sets of identical twins here, what're the odds, right?"

There's some girl waving to random people. I pretend like I didn't see her. I take a second suitcase from the agent, and turn to go when he catches my arm.

"One more thing, from Director Waller," the agent says. "Be nice."

I close my eyes and roll them underneath. I turn to go with the luggage in hand.
