Forum Bug

Hi all,

We're aware of a peculiar forum glitch that's causing some subforums to be locked.

Due to the lateness at this time, it might be a while before the glitch can be remedied, because despite my best efforts and as far as I can tell, everything seems to be working fine admin-side. It may have …

*wipes sweat from brow* Whew, political correctness is a lot of hard work. But it has to be done.

ANYWAYS, we did it - we (almost) survived 2016 which, I think we can all agree, was pretty damn terrible in many ways.

Regardless, it was a good year on the forums - we've met some new faces, set out …

Return to the Fold

Return to the Fold

A young man stood upon the crest of Half-Blood Hill one morning, his red hair blowing in the wind. He took in the scenery that he had grown to miss so much the past few years, yet now he felt as though he were dreaming; that being back home seemed surreal.

After a moment, he took a drink from the canteen hanging from his belt. As if filled with some sort of manic vigor, the lacerations on his upper arms and face began to seal themselves, leaving only itches behind

He paid it no mind - he'd experienced this countless times.

Rather, his eyes scanned the valley and the sea beyond. His throat constricted as memories flooded his mind. He remembered friends, romances, adventures and battles; and, above all else, he remembered home.

When the sun reached its apex high above him, he held out his hand and willed his weapon to appear. The air shimmered and misted over like a warm windshield on a cool day. Droplets of water quickly sprang to live and multiplied before hardening into a long shaft that diverted into three prongs on one end. The trident (half shark, half water, all business) seemed to hum with delight.

"Tsunami, my old friend. We're home." And the two began the final leg of their trip towards the large farmhouse.

Because this is very out-of-the-blue considering the current scope of the RPG section, I should say that amidst rumors of the return of a long-running CHB RPG, I decided to provide for some rationale as to why my character would have been absent. Thus, I made this little tidbit. For anyone who cares, yes, Sue has returned.
