Forum Bug

Hi all,

We're aware of a peculiar forum glitch that's causing some subforums to be locked.

Due to the lateness at this time, it might be a while before the glitch can be remedied, because despite my best efforts and as far as I can tell, everything seems to be working fine admin-side. It may have …

How to send a PM

Post by Neela on Wed Jun 05, 2013 4:55 pm

So by now I'm sure all of our users know how to send a PM (private message) but in case you don't or if you're a newcomer here's a little guide to help show you how Smile

PM is short for private message. It's a way for you to talk to other members of the site without anyone else seeing or 'in private'. It's an awesome way to keep off-topic posts off a thread. I encourage everyone to use them!

To start off you should be on the homepage of this site. From there you're going to click a little tab that reads- You have [insert number] new message.

After clicking that button you should be in your inbox. At the top left hand corner of your inbox there is a small button that says NEWPM, click on that.

After clicking on that button you should be on the page where you set up and write your PM. To start you need to choose who you want to send your PM to. There are 4 different ways to choose who you want to send it to. You can simply type in their username in the username bar, you can hit 'find a username' and type in part of their name and the site will search it for you, you can hit the down arrow in the second box and choose someone from your friends list, or lastly you can choose an entire usergroup in the third box.

After you've chosen who you're sending the PM to you need to type a subject. A subject is just like a short, couple word phrase to tell what the PM is regarding to. Click the box is next to the word subject and type your subject.

Once you've done all of these steps you're going to type the actual message now. In the large white box at the bottom you can type anything you want. You can do anything in a PM that you can in a post; you can add pictures, emojis, links, etc. So just click the large white box and type away!

Now after you've done that, you're finished! All you have to do now is hit send! Just scroll to the bottom of the page and below the box you typed the message in there is a little button that says send. All you've got to do is hit that and your message will be on its way!

So thanks for reading this and I hope it may have helped you! Also sorry if the pictures are a little janky, paint did not want to work with me today Smile
